Voices of Hope Through the Arts
Where: Abode Studios 2204 Skidaway Rd.
When: October 11, 6:30pm-8:00pm
Voices of Hope Through the Arts is an evening of art to inspire, soothe and stimulate your soul, giving Hope in this divisive era we live in.
Each month one local artist and musician will share their story and fill our senses with their music and art. There will be tastes of drinks and delicious nibbles. Come mix and mingle, or find a quiet corner to listen and relax and enjoy our artist community.
Voices of Hope Through the Arts is a fundraiser for the International School of Story, specifically raising funds for our Community Fellowship Table. Here our diverse community will break bread together. We will serve a weekly meal, start real conversations about challenging topics, connect, listen and learn about each other, share stories where God made what seems impossible possible. Fostering respect, leading to love, giving hope to all, experiencing that together we are stronger. Funds raised will be used to purchase our canopy tent, tables, chairs, equipment and food.
The month of October our featured Artist is Ashley Inniss. Ashley is an artist, poet, painter musician and entrepreneur. She is a second generation Caribbean American as her parents hail from the beautiful island of Barbados. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Lithonia, Ga. Ashley now resides in our beautiful port city of Savannah, Ga.
Ashley values education and is an avid scholar and life-long learner. She believes that every moment we are alive is an opportunity to learn and grow. She holds a BFA in Visual and Performing Arts with a concentration in Studio Art from Savannah State University, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Full Sail University, and is currently pursuing her MFA in Sculpture from the Academy of Art University.

We will also share about the power of Story, writing your one-page story, when God made what seemed impossible, possible!
This month we will have infused tea cocktail tasting by Sweet Tea Factory, along with delightful chartreuse platters and nibbles.
