Shibori is an ancient Japanese method of resist dyeing that involves stitching, folding, twisting or bunching fabric and binding it before dyeing. Join textile designer, Candace Brodmann of Moss & Marsh, as she walks you through various Shibori dying techniques.
In this class you will get to experiment with dyeing on your own rayon scarf and two large flour sack tea towels. You will learn numerous stitch patterns to create different designs in your fabric in beautiful indigo color.
Ages 8+ Children need to be able to stitch with a needle and thread.
