Learn how to make elderberry syrup and fire cider along with an herbal tea blend to gear up for cold and flu season! :)
Candice studied herbal medicine in the north Georgia mountains at Botanologos School of Herbal Medicine - Come glean some valuable info!
Come join us at Abode studio for a fun filled day of herbal remedy making. We will be making elderberry syrup, fire cider and a lovely tea blend to help ward off pesky cold and flu bugs.
Everyone will get to take home their own herbal preparations and worksheets as a starter to their own herbal remedy chest :)
Elderberries are anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and decongestant and when we add a little honey we have a yummy syrup to drink daily as a preventative or throughout the day during an active cold.
Fire cider is a spicy blend of apple cider vinegar and all things colorful with a kick ! (radish, onion, turmeric, ginger, cayenne, garlic etc) ... a perfect remedy for decongesting and immune system boosting.
Lastly, the herbal tea will be a blend of elder flowers, yarrow flowers and peppermint leaf. This blend is phenomenal at decreasing the severity and duration of colds with its anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, decongestant, diaphoretic, anti-nausea and fever reducing properties :)
All materials will be provided :) all ages welcome! (Kids 12 and under must have guardian present.)
